Earthquake destroys fairground

I'm The children were set the task to create their own fairground in teams. We used ratio and knowledge of m and cm to produce a scaled down model. The children were also responsible for creating composite shapes using brackets and multiplication. Finally, they us to think carefully about which rides were the most profitable and then presented their finished products!

Year 5s have been creating their very own Natural Disaster top trump cards, using the IPads to research. Great teamwork!

Safer Internet Day Recipes!

The children discussed Internet safety and we highlighted several strategies of making sure we use the Internet appropriately. 

'Mars' Composition

In year 5 we created our own compositions inspired by the classical piece of music, Mars. We used an ostinato rhythm and a minor key on the tuned percussion. Great performances today!
